Samson A Protected Son

As Samson and his family neared the vineyards of Timnah, a roaring lion came charging toward them. Samson quickly went to face the beast alone, and as he did, the Lord filled him with strength, and Samson defeated the attacking animal with his bare hands. He looked down at the slain animal and found inside the lion’s body there was honey and no meat.
A Feast & a Riddle!

Later, Samson held a great feast at his wedding, and many Philistines came. Feeling very powerful, Samson challenged 30 of the Philistine men with a riddle. Confident, he bet them 30 fine suits of clothing and granted them seven days to figure it out.
SAMSON’S RIDDLE:
“Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet.” (Judges 14:14)
The bet was a bit of a trick because only Samson knew the answer. It was about the lion he defeated.

A Philistine Trick in Return!
After three days, the Philistine men still had not solved Samson’s riddle, so they went to Samson’s wife and threatened her with death unless she revealed the answer.
Samson’s wife ran to him and begged him for the answer! Immediately after, she went and told the Philistine men, who then won the bet! Samson was so angry that he killed 30 Philistines and took their suits as payment! It was just the beginning of more trouble.
