The Artist's Salad...

Here’s your chance to paint a picture that’s good enough to eat! Blend these fantastic flavors and culinary colors and turn a salad bowl into a canvas! It’s a delicious, nutritious, and refreshing treat from the chef’s palette to your palate. 

Items you will need 

  •  Cutting board
  •  Knife or kitchen scissors
  •  Large bowl
  •  Serving spoon
  •  Citrus juicer
  •  Small bowl or cup

Ingredients

  •  14-ounce can of black beans, rinsed and drained 
  •  2  cups frozen corn kernels 
  •  1  small red bell pepper, seeded
  •  1  small green bell pepper, seeded
  •  1/2 red onion
  •  1 teaspoon ground cumin 
  •  1  medium lime, juiced
  •  Salt and pepper to taste

Directions 

1. Cut the peppers and red onion into bite-sized pieces.

2. Cut the lime in half. Use a fork or citrus juicer to extract as much juice as possible into the small bowl.

3. Put all the ingredients into the bowl and mix them with a serving spoon.

4. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine. 

5. Serve your flavorful and colorful salad and savor the taste!
